HVAC System Performance Verification
ARB/Geowell is uniquely qualified to evaluate the geothermal HVAC system performance and to recommend possible adjustments to the control algorithm to achieve optimal system performance. By extending its domain of involvement into the mechanical room, we have made a conscious decision to be a part of specifying both hardware and software that interface the geothermal well field to the building HVAC system. As a part of this design interface, we specify instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flowrate) on the geothermal loop, which support both control and DAQ functions using BACnet, or whatever facility communication protocol has been established.
Beyond commissioning support, the company will review the data periodically, as part of a standard service contract for the first year. As part of this contract, the company service personnel are on-call to meet any emergency condition associated with the geothermal installation. Otherwise, operational data is scheduled for review and analysis three times a year: at the end of the 1st month, 6th mo. and 1 year. At the conclusion of this service period, a report is compiled and presented to the facility manager with recommendations for any operational changes that develop from the analysis. Extended service support is available on an annual basis.
